M & P's Crappie Coating

M & P's Crappie Coating Thanks to Mike & Pauline Burns of Texas for sending in this recipe.

Ingredients

  • crappie fillets or your favorite fish fillets
  • lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • cracker crumbs made from about 1/2 box of crackers

Instructions

* In a shallow bowl, beat the egg until smooth. Add the buttermilk and mix together.

* Sprinkle the fish with the lemon pepper seasoning to taste.

* Dip fish in the buttermilk/egg mixture and then into the cracker crumbs.

* Fry in hot oil until golden brown.

* Serve and Enjoy!!
