Smoked Doves

~ 12 dove breasts
~ apple juice
~ salt
~ pepper
~ garlic powder
~ paparika
~ 1 large onion, sliced
~ bacon
~ jalapeno peppers, sliced, optional
~ bbq sauce, optional

Place the breasts in a 10x13 baking pan.

Pour in the apple juice to cover the bottom about 1/2" deep.

Season breasts to taste with the slat, pepper, garlic powder and paparika.

Place onion slices on top.

Cover with bacon.

Add the peppers and/or bbq sauce if desired.

Place in smoker on grill and cook until you are able to pull meat from the bone with a fork.

Serve and enjoy.
