Deer Steaks and Gravy
Thanks to Myra Arquitt for this recipe.

~ 5- 6 deer steaks
~ oil
~ flour
~ 1 packet dry onion soup mix
~ water

In a skillet big enough for all the steaks to fit into, add oil to cover the bottom. Heat to medium heat.

Dredge the steaks in the flour seasoned with salt and pepper.

Add to the hot oil.

Brown on both sides. Do not over cook!

Pour the soup mix over the steaks.

Cover with water and bring to a boil.

Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Flip steaks halfway through.

Remove steaks and thicken gravy with cornstarch if you want it thicker.

Return steaks to the gravy.

Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles or rice.

Enjoy.
