BBQ Deer Shanks

Ingredients

  • 4 - 6 deer shanks
  • 1 qt your favorite bbq sauce
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 shots Jack Daniels whiskey or your favorite brand

Instructions

Place the sauce, chili powder and whiskey in a crock pot. Stir well.

Add the shanks and cook on low until meat starts to fall off bone, 4 - 5 hours.

Remove the meat and finish deboning then shred meat.

Add back to the sauce and stir. Heat thru again if needed.

Serve on toasted rolls with a side of slaw.
