I got tired of catching all the may be legals and tried a trick I learned while bass fishing in the ozarks an it paid off,
Take a float, attached a 12 inch drop, use no wieght, cast up on bank or right next to it. let the minnow swim and whammo, there is your big ones, this works great up in the east and west fork. use the biggest shiner, minnow you can get
